WELCOME TO BRACES FOR ALL AGES!
Welcome to our practice. We’re glad you came and it is a real pleasure to have met you. You can call me Dr. Brenda. I have been and orthodontist since 1991. Being an orthodontist is the most rewarding job I could ever imagine. I love meeting people like you and seeing you go through the changes we can provide.
I became and orthodontist because of the confidence I achieved through having braces. I hated to smile before I had braces, but when they were removed I couldn’t stop. I want all my patients to have the most beautiful smile possible, but also work diligently to make wonderful faces. Braces aren’t just about straightening teeth.
I take my team to continuing education and provide staff trainings monthly so that we remain on the forefront of the field of orthodontics. I use the most technologically advanced bracket on the market. I want only the best for each and every patient and will do what it takes to get them the best result.
Personally, I have two wonderful daughters, Isabella and Alana. It has been a joy to be a mother and see them grow up to young women. I believe it makes me a better orthodontist. I love teaching people what I’ve learned about good health and eating from my experience with Lyme Disease, and being active, especially with my daughters.
I hope you have a wonderful experience in our office and we make an impact on your life.
NEW PATIENT PAPERWORK
OUR COMMITMENT TO QUALITY CARE
Traditionally in orthodontic offices, a patient will never know from one visit to the next who the assistant is that will work with them. Here in Dr. Brenda’s office, we want to provide you with a much more personalized service.
When you begin treatment in our office, you will be assigned a patient manager. She will assist Dr. Brenda with all of your appointments while you are in treatment beginning with the bonding appointment when your appliances/braces are placed. We have found that patients look forward to their appointments so much more when they know exactly who they will be seeing that day along with Dr. Brenda.
This system is also a great advantage for the parent. You will receive your child’s patient manager’s business card at the very first appointment. You can feel confident in knowing that your calls and questions will be answered by someone who has formed a personal bond with your son or daughter, and who knows their case almost as well as the doctor.
It is our experience that many patient manager and patient relationships do not end with treatment. We are proud to say that holiday wishes and greetings continue on for years to come.
Our patients are our greatest assets and we feel that by providing this service we are doing the very best job we can possibly do to serve them.
WHAT TO EXPECT AS A NEW PATIENT AT YOUR INITIAL VISIT
Your Initial Visit:
In our office we complete a comprehensive exam on all new orthodontic patients where we take orthodontic pictures of the teeth as well as iCat imaging to show the bone, teeth, airway, nasal passages, and more. We evaluate palate shape and space, tongue positioning and function, and discuss in detail each patient’s history and concerns.
We evaluate the tongue positioning and look for tongue restrictions that may impact orthodontic treatment and negatively impact skeletal growth. All of our patients will see one of our in-house Orofacial Myofunctional Therapists to correct the behavioral component and, if needed, will also be referred to Dr. Annie, who has focused her care on releasing restrictive oral tissues and Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy. She conveniently sees our patients in the comfort of our office to address any structural issues with the tongue and other restrictive oral tissues.
Finance & Insurance:
The cost of your orthodontic treatment may vary depending on your individual needs and treatment plan. At your consultation appointment, we will discuss with you the cost of your treatment, and each of your available payment plan options so that you are able to make the best choice for you. We will work with you to create a payment plan that fits your budget, and you’ll know what to expect before beginning treatment.
If you have a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Spending Account (HSA), we are happy to work with you to use it pay for your treatment. You should have an FSA or HSA card that acts similar to a debit card and can be used to make payments throughout treatment. The other option is to pay using a regular credit card, and then have your HSA or FSA account reimburse you.
We offer a variety of payment plans including an interest- free in-office monthly payment plan. If you choose to pay for your full treatment at the onset, we offer a bookkeeping courtesy discount which reduces your fee. Making payments is easy with our online payment portal or our autopay option. We offer third party financing through Care Credit if you’d prefer a more extended payment schedule and also accept most major credit cards and insurance plans.
Our team is happy to answer any questions you may have about your coverage, as well as help with insurance claims and related paperwork to maximize your benefit if you have insurance that will be covering any portion of your orthodontic treatment. We can help determine coverage for your specific insurance at your consultation. Please let us know if you have any questions about your insurance coverage and how we can help to make your entire orthodontic experience a pleasant one.
